En route from Edinburgh to Inverness for the second leg of our trip, we made a stop at Stirling Castle, a royal palace and the site of the coronation of several Scottish kings and queens including Mary, Queen of Scots. Stirling is an impressive castle, sitting atop a steep-sided hill overlooking the surrounding terrain.
