Bree Van de Kamp is back — and back on the bottle, apparently.
Marcia Cross reprises her iconic Desperate Housewives role for a special promo advertising the 2025 edition of Series Mania, a French TV festival, effortlessly slipping back into the shoes of Wisteria Lane’s rigid redhead.
The two-minute video primarily stars Laurence Herszberg as a dragged-up version of Bree, with Series Mania’s Frederic Lavigne standing in as Bree’s husband Orson (played on Desperate Housewives by Kyle MacLachlan) and French-Israeli actor Tomer Sisley as hunky plumber Mike (originally portrayed by James Denton).
The good part begins at the one-minute, 25-second mark, as Herszberg places a frantic phone call to the OG Bree. Cross, looking exactly as she did when Desperate Housewives aired its series finale back in 2012, offers this piece of advice to her impersonator: “One thing I’ve learned over the last eight years living with those ladies is that no holds barred and pretending that you’re pregnant is never a good idea.”

Bree’s cheeky advice is a reference to a storyline from Desperate Housewives‘ fourth season, in which Bree covered up her teenage daughter’s pregnancy by pretending to carry the child herself. Classic Bree.
While this is probably the closest fans will ever get to a proper Desperate Housewives revival, it’s worth noting that series creator Marc Cherry is exploring the idea of writing a new series that would take viewers back to the show’s familiar setting, albeit in an earlier decade.
“The character I miss writing the most is actually Wisteria Lane,” Cherry recently told People. “That was the most fun playground anyone in the history of television has ever had, because we owned the whole street. … It was such a fun place to write for. And there [are] times when I go, ‘You know what? I wonder if I could write Wisteria Lane in like, 1966.'”

Bree Van De Kamp is one of the best tv characters ever! I want a Desperate Housewives revival so badly but if I can’t get that can we have a spin off with what comes after for Bree when she moved Kentucky.
“The good part begins at the one-minute, 25-second mark”
I’d say the 38 second mark but each their own
Seriously! Tomer Sisley is quite handsome. If you haven’t seen him in Balthazar, you should. The series is on Acorn.
I would so watch a revival of Wisteria Lane set in 1960’s.
Count me on board!!
Nah. I want something set in present day. See how they evolved before it’s too late.
Can’t wait
