How can AI enhance socio-economic diversity in Financial Services? We recently hosted an Executive Roundtable with Progress Together in our London office, bringing together key leaders in Financial Services, AI, and Human Resources. Our goal? To explore how AI can create transformational opportunities to advance socio-economic diversity within the Financial Services sector. Some of our key takeaways: · Direct and indirect impacts of AI: there is a growing number of examples and use cases showing how AI is impacting productivity improvements, #accessibility and employer/employee experience · Opportunities and risks: #AI can revolutionise processes across key moments of the employee journey, but it also poses risks like deepening socio-economic disparities and bias · Mitigation actions: Establishing clear accountability and ensuring diverse representation in AI model development will be crucial steps A big thank you to our participants, who shared their insights and engaged in this exciting conversation! Our findings will contribute to a forthcoming research paper, set to launch in March, offering practical, actionable guidance for the #FinancialServices industry on responsibly embracing the next wave of innovation. For more information about how Generative AI in particular can power the UK's reinvention across sectors, click here: https://accntu.re/4f6hB2N #DiversityAndInclusion [Asset description: 3 page carousel of images from the roundtable. Our inclusive culture and accessible workplace support persons with disabilities and enable all our people to innovate together. This International Day of Persons with Disabilities—and every day—we are committed to advancing disability inclusion. Learn more: https://accntu.re/3B6AzIN #IDPWD #DisabilityInclusion [Video description: Video begins with a purple silhouette of a person against a black background. The purple silhouette multiplies into 5 silhouettes standing next to a single blue one. The copy reads “1 in 6 people worldwide has a disability. That’s more than a billion people.” We then see a blue circle over a purple circle with a stat inside. The copy reads “Accenture is committed to making disability inclusion a top priority.” The next slide shows purple and white text on a black background. The copy reads “In 2024, we achieved a top score on the Disability Equality Index in all 8 participating countries: Brazil, Canada, Germany, India, Japan, Philippines, United Kingdom, The United States.” The next frame shows a world globe with blue dots glowing around it. The copy reads “45 accessibility centers around the globe, 143,000 allies, and 29 countries with disability-focused networks…we’re committed to foster a culture that is free from bias, where all our people can belong and thrive.” The frame fades to black with a purple Accenture logo in the center of the frame.]

This October, we celebrated #BlackHistoryMonth — honouring the stories, achievements, and resilience that define our journeys. Here’s a look back at the highlights: 📚 New BHM Book Club & Library Initiatives across Ireland, Edinburgh, Birmingham, and Newcastle helped us dive into the power of Black literature and history. 🌟 At our Spotlight on Black Pioneers event we honoured incredible contributions that continue to inspire future generations. 🎉 Leaders from Accenture, Microsoft, and Avanade accounts joined us for a powerful panel on #GenerativeAI’s impact on Black and underrepresented communities, focusing on inclusive development and dismantling bias. This was part of a day filled with highlights, including the inspiring “Story is Us” Showcase, African & Caribbean-inspired cuisine, live music, and an unforgettable games night! Other highlights included a discussion with author Jason Okunadaye on Black & Queer identity, insights from Croydon’s Sickle Cell & Thalassemia Support Group, a creative Black Mythology Workshop, and a vibrant Culture Day showcasing African and Caribbean heritage through food, fashion, and a Cultural Day Catwalk. Black History lives within all of us and shapes where we’re going. Here’s to celebrating a history that inspires, connects, and uplifts us all—today and always. https://accntu.re/3Oek3Jq [Asset description: 6 page carousel displaying images of our people enjoying Black History Month celebrations across our offices, including guest speakers and creative activities.]

Over the next three years, our Regenerative AI initiative will bring community partners and organisations together with volunteers from Accenture to help over a million people build their AI skills, through a series of programmes that will enable them to access devices, data and AI literacy courses. Huge thanks to the teams at Tech She Can, Stay Nimble, FutureLearn and Good Things Foundation for their involvement in this initiative and their commitment to closing the digital divide.
