Childnet International is a UK charity that aims to make the internet a great and safe place for children and young people. Childnet delivers a wide range of activity to promote the safe and responsible use of technology: • develops new educational resources for children, parents and carers, and teachers and other professionals, to meet emerging trends in the fast-changing online environment. • delivers education sessions for children, parents, carers, teachers and other professionals • shapes policy at school, industry and government level, both in the UK and internationally • facilitates youth panels to give young people a voice on these issues • coordinates Safer Internet Day in the UK, as part of its work as one of the partners in the UK Safer Internet Centre.

Meet the winners of the 15th annual Childnet Film Competition! In first place for the Primary Category, we have the Sir Donald Bailey Academy with their film ‘Change your attitude, change the internet”, and in the Secondary Category is Lady Eleanor Holles School with their film “Blooming a Better Internet”. The competition is a unique event, showcasing the power of youth voice in online safety education whilst championing the creativity of young people. This year’s competition saw entries from many talented young people across the UK who embraced the challenge of creating short films on the theme of “How would you make the internet a better place?”, with the finalists’ event taking place at The Walt Disney Company in Hammersmith.
