NEW REPORT 🛴 The expansion of micromobility in the UK offers significant opportunities to reduce carbon emissions while delivering substantial benefits to public health, transport accessibility and the economy. It is essential that asset product design prioritises safety, inclusivity and accessibility. To fully understand the impact, we must capture and assess insights from users and non-users alike. Connected Places Catapult has published a new report, prepared in partnership with the High Value Manufacturing Catapult’s Warwick Manufacturing Group, UCL, Steer, and Cenex. The aim of this report is to advise place and policy leaders on the implications for future-proofing regulations in micromobility, particularly those that could unlock further market potential. Steve Pyer, Connected Places Catapult Director of New Mobility Technologies, said, "This report demonstrates the critical role of micromobility in shaping the future of integrated urban transport. By prioritising inclusivity and accessibility in design, we can ensure that these innovations benefit a wide cross section of society, reduce carbon emissions, and create sustainable economic growth. The findings also underscore the importance of forward-thinking policies and regulations that can unlock the full potential of the micromobility sector."
