Our next Brighton Effect ambassador is the inspiring Ada Nwadigo, an engineering innovator who credits the University of Brighton with her career trajectory and says it provided her with multiple tools, which set her up for life as a graduate. This includes the combination of practical and theoretical aspects of her degree, engaging and working with a diverse range of people, opportunities to improve employability with industry contacts and the support she received from staff at the university. Now she is forging a very successful career, including being the Managing Director of her own company Jona Infrastructure and recently being named in the Top 50 Women in Engineering by Women's Engineering Society. She is also committed to inspiring the next STEM generation, including founding her own social media company Eng Trepreneur and becoming an ambassador for the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE). Ada had the following wise advice for the next generation of students: “Your time at the university is about cultivating not only academic knowledge but also the mindset and skills that will propel you toward success. Stay curious, proactive, and open to new experiences; they serve as the stepping stones to a thriving future.” Read more about Ada’s impressive career in the comments below 👇
