Non-profit Organizations
Three leading non-profits, Childnet, IWF and SWGfL, with a mission to make the internet a safe place for children.
About us
The UK Safer Internet Centre is a unique partnership of three world-leading charities – Childnet, IWF and SWGfL. We work together to identify threats and harms online and then create and deliver critical advice, resources, and interventions that help keep children and young people safe. A bridge between Government, industry, law enforcement and society, we are the engine of the online protection landscape in the UK, dealing with both prevention and response. Unlike any other organisation in this space, we share skills and expertise to identify emerging threats, take direct action against them, and provide support to children, young people and those who care for them, with an end-to-end approach. We provide: - A Hotline for members of the public to report suspected child sexual abuse imagery online - iwf.org.uk - A helpline to support professionals working with children and young people on online safety issues - swgfl.org.uk - A platform for people to report harmful content online which is not related to child sexual abuse material - reportharmfulcontent.com - An awareness centre, incorporating educational, outreach and engagement programmes for children, families and teachers, as well as providing a youth platform and facilitating youth engagement - saferinternet.org.uk We also run UK Safer Internet Day, the critical touchpoint each year in the education of young people across the UK about online safety. Our reach is unparalleled by any other organisation working in this space - saferinternet.org.uk/safer-internet-day

The campaign is highlighting the impact of the initiative which was developed to protect against the non-consensual sharing of intimate images online. Since its launch, over 1,000,000 images have been protected. A number of participating platforms have also joined the initiative with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Niantic Inc., Snap Inc., Microsoft Bing, Threads, Reddit, Pornhub, PlayHouse, and RedGIFs all joining to protect adults impacted by intimate image abuse, responding to this issue on a global scale. We are pleased to announce that Bitly and Resolver Trust & Safety have also joined the StopNCII.org initiative to provide further protections.
