I spent one month living and volunteering at Farm Animal Rescue, a sanctuary for animals rescued from the meat/ dairy industry in Australia.

There was close to 100 animals living on the farm, including pigs, cows, sheep, goats and chickens.

My days began at sunrise (5:35 am) and finished at sunset (6:15 pm) and could be categorised in to three main areas; medicating the animals, cleaning their barns/ coops and feeding them.

I volunteered at an event held in Stanley Park, with the ultimate aim at the time being to reach 100,000 signatures for a petition to take to the government - something the Foundation achieved.
