Stella Maeve Got Engaged To Actor Benjamin Wadsworth

Magicians actress Stella Maeve has been dating Benjamin Wadsworth from Deadly Class for close to a year now, and on Friday, the couple announced they took a major step in their relationship: They got engaged! Maeve celebrated the news with a post on Instagram that showed off her sparkling diamond ring. "May 10th, this happened. My love, life, wife!" she wrote.

Just a few days before the proposal, Wadsworth had posted a heartfelt tribute to his girlfriend, perhaps providing a clue that he was thinking about popping the question. Over a candid shot of the two of them, he gushed, "I love her so much. She’s so beautiful and full of energy. I’ll never get tired of you @stellamaeve ♥️ I’m crazy about you!"

The couple reportedly met last July at San Diego Comic-Con. Wadsworth described how it all went down in an interview with Page Six. "I was waiting to go on to do the [Deadly Class] panel and my manager was talking to her and said, 'Ben, come over here and meet Stella' and then it was up from there," he said. "She kept making eye contact with me too so I decided to go over and talk. She's rolling her eyes at me right now."

Maeve is known for her previous role on Chicago P.D., while Wadsworth has been on shows like Teen Wolf and Let The Right One In. While their engagement drew plenty of happy responses (actors like Adelaide Kane and Christopher Gorham all left enthusiastic messages of congratulations), they also had to face some scrutiny about their 10-year age difference. When one Instagram user noted that Wadsworth is 19, the actor responded by saying, "You don’t know my relationship. I’m living a great life. Now I get to live it forever with my beautiful fiancé.”

It's unclear when they'll actually tie the knot, but their engagement marks another celebrity wedding we can get excited about in the near future.
