HTH Worldwide Travel Insurance Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Do HTH Worldwide travel insurance plans cover pre-existing medical conditions?
You can get a pre-existing medical condition waiver with HTH Worldwide travel insurance. But not all plans include this waiver. For example, it is not available if you purchase the TripProtector Economy plan.
The pre-existing medical condition waiver means that pre-existing conditions won’t be excluded from your coverage. For example, HTH Worldwide’s TripProtector Preferred plan will cover pre-existing conditions if you buy the plan within 21 days of your initial trip deposit and you purchase a plan for the full cost of your trip. You must also be medically able to travel at the time you pay your premium.
Do HTH Worldwide travel insurance plans have “cancel for any reason” coverage?
You can add “cancel for any reason” (CFAR) travel insurance to HTH Worldwide’s TripProtector Preferred plan. It is not available for TripProtector Economy or TripProtector Classic plans.
CFAR coverage gives you the option to cancel for a reason not listed in your plan’s base trip cancellation reasons but still get some reimbursement. For example, you could decide to cancel your trip simply because you don’t want to wait in long lines at the airport.
You must buy CFAR within 10 days of your initial trip deposit. If you cancel your trip at least two days prior to your scheduled departure date, you can be reimbursed 75% of your pre-paid non-refundable trip costs.
Does HTH Worldwide have 24/7 travel assistance?
HTH Worldwide’s plans include access to their 24/7 travel assistance services. The team can help you with problems such as:
- Coordinating and paying for a medical evacuation
- Scheduling a bedside visit for a family member or friend if you are hospitalized for more than seven days
