Girl Surprised With Adoption of Foster Dog for Her Birthday

A young girl was gifted with the adoption of the dog her family had been fostering on her 12th birthday in Wake Forest, North Carolina, in early December. Sloane Parenr recorded this video of her daughter, Quinn, opening a present to reveal a dog tag with the name Milton on it. In the footage, Quinn can be heard asking, "Is this just his name tag? What's happening?" She quickly realizes exactly what's happening and begins to search for Milton, who trots over to her. Quinn can be seen crying as she hugs her new pup. Parenr told Storyful they began fostering Milton from https://savinggracenc.org/ Saving Grace , a nonprofit animal shelter, over Thanksgiving. She said they never planned on adopting a foster dog, but when she asked Quinn about adopting either an Australian shepherd mix puppy or Milton, she said Milton without hesitation. "Quinn had fallen in love with Milton, and she thought he had been adopted by another family," Parenr said.
