Happy Birthday Mr. President

While U.S. President Ronald Reagan takes the first slice of birthday cake, Sam Donaldson (o/s) asks First Lady Nancy Reagan: “Mrs. Reagan, have you any resolutions you want him to make on his birthday? -- anything you want him to do differently?” Nancy: “I think he's doing just fine.” Donaldson: “Well, maybe this would be a good time for you to tell him whether you think he should run again.” Nancy: “Oh, no.” Donaldson: “You're not getting too old to run again, are you, sir?” At this point, Nancy asks Donaldson if he would like a piece of cake and the same goes for anyone else who tries to ask President Reagan questions. Donaldson says they won’t sell out for a piece of cake, to which President Reagan replies: “You’ve sold out for less than that.” Donaldson: "If I had a comeback, I wouldn't dare say it." President Reagan assumes everything is off the record since the cake came in, but he’s reminded the lights are still on.
