In one shot of the trailer, user Nick Tierce pointed out on his Twitter account that a ship in the background looked like the vessel of Hondo Ohnaka. The Katooni can be seen at Disney's Galaxy's Edge for the ride Smugglers Run, which Nick compared the ship in the trailer to.

The Acolyte has just wrapped up its first season, and while fans are waiting for an update on the next series, Skeleton Crew, Lucasfilm has released a preview for one of their more kid-friendly—but otherwise canon—properties.

A new trailer has just been dropped for the second season of Young Jedi Adventures, and there have been some Easter Eggs spotted that reference the larger Star Wars universe.

There’s yet another adaptation of Watchmen on the way – a CG animated movie that is said to be more faithful than earlier takes on the graphic novel. Called Watchmen: Chapter 1, it’s targeting an 13th August 2024 release on disc with the second part coming in 2025. Warner Bros has now released the full red band trailer to promote the upcoming release, which you can catch below.

The voice cast for the films includes Matthew Rhys as Nite Owl, Katee Sackhoff as Silk Spectre, Titus Welliver as Rorschach, Troy Baker as Ozymandias, Corey Burton as Captain Metropolis and Michael Cerveris as Dr Manhattan.

The tale regards a group of retired superheroes in alternate 1980s timeline who for better or worse, changed the world.

The Doomsday Clock is ticking in the trailer for the animated feature Watchmen Chapter 1.

Hailing from Warner Bros. Animation and Paramount, the title is the first in a two-part film based on the classic DC Comics series Watchmen, a satirical project focusing on an alternate reality in which superheroes — known as costumed vigilantes — have been outlawed. Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment releases director Brandon Vietti’s feature via digital platforms Aug. 13 before it hits Blu-ray on Aug. 27.

The TV academy has honored voice-only performances since 1992, when six cast members from “The Simpsons” collectively became the first actors to receive Emmys for such work. The Best Voice-Over Performance category became an official non-juried one in 2009 and was then split into two categories in 2014: Best Character Voice-Over and Best Narrator. Harry Shearer (“The Simpsons”) was the former category’s first champion, having been nominated once before for the same series.

The 2023 Best Character Voice-Over ballot consists of 148 performances, which is down by 74 from last year. In a surprise announcement at Star Wars Celebration today, Dave Filoni announced that the initially limited series "Star Wars: Tales of The Jedi" is set to return for a second season on Disney+. /Film's team was on the ground at the event, where Filoni -- a major presence in the "Star Wars" streaming world and the creator of "Tales of the Jedi" -- ended a panel in celebration of "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" with the announcement.

If there's any one person who's responsible for molding the state of the "Star Wars" franchise into what it is right now, it might be Dave Filoni. There's a strong argument to be made that Filoni's guiding hand on both the "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" and "Star Wars: Rebels" television series left permanent strokes on the entire universe. Original characters from these animated shows have since appeared in the live-action realm, with the most popular and enduring of them soon to get her own series, "Ahsoka." Filoni doesn't always look to translate his animated creations into the real world, though, unless it makes complete sense. That way, he can avoid portraying them as glorified cameos catering to fan service and instead make sure that they contribute to the grander scheme of the plot.
