A suspected moonshine runner is being pursued by the local newspaper reporter. 'Alice Bentley' who writes for 'The Dixie' Times' thinks she has her first big break as she goes out to the middle of nowhere to encounter a farmer who she believes is selling illegal whiskey. However, the suspect soon gets the newspaper reporter into some trouble of her own.—Anonymous

Alice Bentley writes for the local news paper in a small, southern, farming community. Her headlines would never make the local news even in Montgomery. That his until she gets on the trail of a suspected illegal whiskey runner. Is this her chance to attain journalism fame? Or maybe the suspect in question will pull a fast one on her. Is it possible that anything news worthy would ever occur in a town with an underfunded, under staffed Sheriff's department? The local District Attorney doesn't have the resources to catch and prosecute the wayward folks breaking the law out in the middle of nowhere. But he has a plan.
