The New Family is an Italian movie telling the true story about a couple taking in three boys into their family, after the father has killed their mother. Along the way we also see the father sentenced for the deed.
The kids are not at all aware of the seriousness, especially the oldest boy who don't realise the reason he's taken away from his father. But the boys are taken in with great love and affection, even if it's not without problems, either for the boys or the couple which also starts wondering if they should adopt them after a while.
The movie is well played, also by the kids, and this movie is both gripping and tells the story well. Well worth a watch.

How much can you tell kids? How much truth can they handle? Well it depends on how and what you tell them. When it concern their parents, it won't be something easy to do. But it will be better to do so, then to keep them in the dark about it.
This drama is about a couple of kids (3), who lose their mother and subsequently their father for ... reasons. They are led to believe the father moved to another country. You can see that especially the older boy does not really buy it and he keeps trying to contact his father. The drama practically writes itself in a way ... very well played and overall really good written, especially for a TV movie (something I didn't know when I watched this) ...
