About Us

Mission & Vision

We envision a world where all mothers experience pregnancy and childbirth safely and with respect, and all newborns get a safe start in life.

We partner with governments to deploy affordable and scalable solutions through government hospitals to sustainably improve quality of care and maternal and newborn outcomes.

Our Team

We are committed to developing strong local capacity to deliver long-term impact for mothers and babies at scale.

Our team in Kenya offers a diverse set of skills to build, deploy and scale maternal health solutions in government health systems: frontline clinical expertise, public and private partnerships, product design, data science, research and analytics, and cutting-edge technology.

Our Partners

Partnerships are the backbone of our work.

We believe sustainable impact is achieved through strong partnerships, which we have forged with local and national governments, implementing organizations, research institutions, and our generous supporters. We look forward to deepening existing and developing new partnerships that will extend the reach and impact of our work.

Government Partners
Government partnerships sit at the heart of how we deliver solutions and achieve impact. We work with county and national governments in Kenya and other African countries to co-design solutions that support their maternal health priorities, and deploy them through the public health system, where we can reach more underserved mothers and achieve greatest impact.

Our Funding Partners

We are grateful for our network of committed funding partners – including large-scale funding organizations, family foundations, bilateral development agencies and corporate funders – who share our ambition to improve care and outcomes for mothers and babies in the areas we operate. Our approach with funders has always been to bring them to the table as true stewards of this vision, and walk with us on our journey to scale.

Implementing & Research Partners
Jacaranda is proud to collaborate with a diverse network of implementing and research partners to ensure every mother has a safe journey through the health system: from plugging gaps across the continuum of care, to improving the technology that supports women and nurses, to understanding the contextual challenges that hinder either access or provision of quality care.
