Let it start with you: 1. Initiate a Calm Discussion: Request a one-on-one meeting to discuss the conflict in a neutral setting, emphasizing collaboration. 2. Listen Actively: Allow your colleague to share their perspective fully, demonstrating understanding & respect. 3. Clarify Goals: Focus on the shared project objectives, steering the conversation away from personal preferences. 4. Seek Common Ground: Identify areas of agreement & build from there to create a foundation for compromise. 5. Propose Solutions: Offer ideas that incorporate both viewpoints, showing a willingness to adapt. 6. Involve a Mediator if Needed: If the conflict persists, seek guidance from a neutral third party to facilitate resolution. Don't give up!
