Hearty holiday meals might warm hearts, but they can burn many of us sometimes. Our Dr. Paul Frassinelli has useful advice for people who deal with acid reflux, GERD, or people who simply want to avoid weight gain but keep their seat at the table. >> https://lnkd.in/g8Zj_jMU
Dr. Sandip Jain of AnMed Neurology was nominated to be our Physician of the Quarter after especially courteous and professional care with a particular patient, but that wasn’t the only thing that sparked a nomination. He was enjoying well-earned time off and the company of family in Charlotte recently when a partner in his practice called to touch base after a difficult night while on call. Dr. Jain could sense his partner’s extreme exhaustion, so he called an Uber to bring him all the way back from Charlotte, and he provided compassionate cover so his partner could rest. His dedication provided rejuvenation for his partner and the best care for patients. It also helped earn him our health system’s quarterly honor. #BetterStartsHere
#MerryChristmas from the babies born in our Maternity Center this month! Many of them are sporting red and white elf hats provided by our Volunteer Services department, if they join their families in the mood to celebrate the holiday season. Baby’s First Christmas ornaments save and display the hats and babies’ hospital bracelets for years to come, too. #HappyHolidays! #BetterStartsHere
Two resident physicians and our director of nursing got their starts here as young volunteers. They gave time, energy and attention without expectation of compensation, but they did receive something valuable, and its effects linger to this day. Learn all about it in the latest episode of the Better News Podcast, found on Spotify or at https://lnkd.in/etqnDXqZ. #BetterStartsHere
For hard-to-treat depression, advanced options like ECT, TMS and Spravato offer new hope. ECT, BTW, is not what you might expect. Learn more and help us spread the word so more friends, family members and neighbors can find relief: https://lnkd.in/evcSpZGV #BetterStartsHere

Our community, our people, the blessings we’re able to preserve and share, 120 years of trust, and a future that’s brighter than ever – we have many reasons to be thankful. Here’s to you and yours on this special day. #Thanksgiving #BetterStartsHere
Volunteers at AnMed Cannon have raised money to purchase wheelchairs and accessories for various departments at our hospital in Pickens. Here’s a heartfelt public thank you to them and to the community members who contributed! #Thanksgiving #BetterStartsHere
We are thrilled to announce that we have earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit watchdog organization. The distinction serves as independent certification of our efforts to minimize risk and maximize safety, and it comes on the heels of our 9 #ZeroHarmSC awards from the South Carolina Hospital Association. https://lnkd.in/eiwVDktr #BetterStartsHere
