Join us in welcoming Stephanie Andrews to The Florida Holocaust Museum team! Stephanie steps into her new role as our Fundraising Events Manager with a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to community. As a third-generation Tampa resident, Stephanie's roots run deep, and so does her passion for giving back. An FSU alumna, Stephanie built her career in philanthropy with organizations like Make-A-Wish Foundation and Metropolitan Ministries, instilling a strong family value of volunteerism in her two children, Jackson and Emily Grace. Stephanie is most excited to introduce the Museum to new patrons, sharing our message of humanity, kindness, and acceptance—lessons she instills in her family and holds close to her heart. When she’s not planning impactful events, Stephanie enjoys exploring global cuisines, traveling, and pursuing her love of golf (St. Andrews, watch out!). Welcome, Stephanie! We’re thrilled to have your passion and expertise guiding our events and inspiring our community.

Today, we're highlighting one of our amazing volunteers at The Florida Holocaust Museum! Paul Mott started volunteering at the Museum in 2022. You may recognize him from the desk, at Museum events, and as a docent. Hear from Paul on why he volunteers at the Florida Holocaust Museum: "I volunteer because I truly believe in the mission of this museum and the importance of educating others about the Holocaust so that this sort of atrocity never happens again. I am always willing to help and always striving to make sure we put out the most accurate information." Thank you, Paul!

Today marks the anniversary of Pearl Harbor, a pivotal moment in history that changed the course of World War II. We remember and honor those who lost their lives on December 7, 1941, as we reflect on the resilience and unity that emerged from this tragic event. Arthur "Art" Sheridan enlisted in the Army at age 17 in 1942. Assigned to the 60th Armored Infantry Battalion of the 20th Armored Division, he arrived in Europe following the D-Day invasion and fought his way across France and into Germany. Outside Munich, Sheridan's Battalion found and liberated the concentration camp at Dachau. As an infantryman, Sheridan was among the first American soldiers to enter the camp.
