One of the many instances of our attorneys' commitment to the community: Jose Meneses, who immigrated at age 12, discovered his passion through Peace Over Violence's youth programs. Now a Board Director, he helps ensure other young people can access these life-changing programs. #SAMGivesBack #CommunitySupport #CommunityService
Thirteen years ago, I entered a high school class that changed my life. Two years after immigrating from the Philippines, I encountered Peace Over Violence's youth program on healthy relationships and violence prevention. Today, I serve on POV's Board of Directors, working to ensure other young people have the same opportunity that shaped my journey from student to attorney. It's a privilege to help POV continue its vital work supporting survivors and empowering youth across Los Angeles. On December 18th, SA&M Partner Adrian Cyhan and the Preccelerator Program brought together Ukrainian founders for a successful networking event. Attendees had the opportunity to network, connect, and learn from other founders on how to build the next generation of startups in Los Angeles. Over the past month, our SA&M team collected hundreds of pairs of new socks through the Knock Knock Give a Sock initiative. Working with Harbor Care Center, we distributed these socks to unhoused individuals in the San Fernando Valley. While socks are the most needed clothing item in homeless shelters, they're often the least donated. We're grateful to support our Los Angeles community this holiday season and thank everyone who contributed to this meaningful cause. #CommunitySupport #SAMGivesBack #GivingBack #HarborCareCenter #KnockKnockGiveaSock

Roger B. Lee talks to QSR Magazine about key restaurant industry trends.
VP Editorial Director, Food, Retail, & Hospitality I QSR and FSR magazines I PMQ I CStore Decisions I Club + Resort
Of course I wasn't done with restaurant predictions for 2025. Here, we'll break down the state of the consumer, what last year was really like, and what trends will dominate the headlines next year. Here's a preview of the insight, this time from Jared Castronova: "The real game-changer will be intelligent kitchen systems that can juggle multiple channels while actually reducing operational complexity. The winners won’t just deploy these technologies; they’ll use them to fundamentally reimagine their operational model. Think of it as the difference between adding tools and building an ecosystem. By the end of 2025, the gap between technology-forward restaurants and technology-resistant ones won’t just show up in sales—it will determine which ones survive." Other leaders included: Lauren Barash, Hoyt Jones, Darren Spicer, John Berberich, Scott Finlow, Lissa Bowen, Tom Woodbury, Craig Coan, Roger B. Lee, Joey Cioffi, Misty Chalk, Jeffrey Pielusko of Carl Marks Advisors.

Yesterday, our SA&M team was honored to deliver holiday gifts to City of Hope's Adopt-A-Family program. Supporting patients and their families during their medical journey has reminded us of what truly matters. Through programs like this, we can bring some brightness to those facing difficult times. We’re grateful to City of Hope for connecting us with this meaningful opportunity. #GivingBack #CityOfHope #CommunitySupport #SAMGivesBack
