💡Craft and intuition is a hot topic for builders. Everyone knows it’s important to have but not many can articulate how to develop it in the first place then constantly improve on it. Shirley goes deep and shares her incredible learnings on this topic. “Building intuition and craft is just exposing yourself to a bunch of different things. That's why having an opinion or learning to have an opinion on things outside of product design is important.” ⭐️ We’d love to hear: How do you develop your craft? What experiences have helped you build your intuition as a product designer? 🎧 Watch and listen to the full episode in the links below.

🤔 There are so many important traits someone can have. However, the characteristic of “curiosity” is becoming more and more important especially with the speed of innovation and changes in how we work and operate. As Jonathan Reichental, Ph.D. explains, it’s an important skill that we should all continue to improve and work on. “If you're listening and you're wondering what can I further develop and what would be useful to me? Maybe it's surprising that on your list of skills, develop a greater sense of curiosity, ask more questions, don't just assume things. If you read something, ask about it, query it, research it.” ⭐️ We would love to hear what you have been curious about or new learnings you’ve had recently. 🎧 Watch and listen to the full episode in the links below.

🦄 What are the 3 ingredients for building a successful startup in Silicon Valley? ✌️ What’s the most important characteristic anyone can have? 💻 How will the world of technology evolve over the next decade? These are the questions we address in our latest Tech2Table Talks podcast with Jonathan Reichental, Ph.D. He is the founder of Human Future, a global business and technology advisory and education firm. He has served as the CIO at both O'Reilly and the City of Palo Alto. In 2013 he was recognized as one of the 25 doers, dreamers, and drivers in government in America. In 2017, he was named one of the top 100 CIOs in the world. On top of all that, he has a background as a software engineering leader, professor, author and corporate executive. In our conversation, we deep dive into: 📌 How curiosity and a passion for learning fuels success 📌 Why connections can lead to groundbreaking opportunities 📌 The importance of persistence and hard work (no shortcuts!) 📌 Predictions on the future of technology 📌 And so much more Here are 3 key takeaways: 1️⃣ Creating your own luck is all about putting yourself out there. Luck isn't just a coincidence; it’s about being proactive. When you step outside your comfort zone and seek new experiences, you increase your chances of encountering opportunities that can lead to significant changes in your life. 2️⃣ Find your song and sing it every day. This mantra emphasizes the importance of seeking out what brings joy and fulfillment. Embracing each day and doing what you love leads to a happier and more meaningful life. Life is precious, and making the most of it is what truly matters. 3️⃣ The next decade is going to be amazing for technology. We’re on the verge of incredible advancements, especially in healthcare. 🍞 Toast is known as one of the top vertical software companies globally. They've built products that restaurants deeply love. It's also Wilson Wei's favorite vertical SaaS company! "I think one that comes to mind immediately is Toast. And the big reason why I know of them is because it touches the consumers. When I was in New York, I was paying the bills at restaurants. I would look at the physical hardware, the software as well, the interface, and tip, sign, after I paid with my credit card. I thought the physical hardware and the interface was very comfortable as a user, just to look at the UI as a consumer. Now looking at their financials for the B2B side, also very impressive." ⭐️ We would love to hear what's your current favorite vertical SaaS company? 🎧 Watch and listen to the full episode here: • Apple: https://lnkd.in/ed69a65W • Spotify: https://lnkd.in/e_apgU5M • YouTube: https://lnkd.in/emYrHDmA • Newsletter: https://lnkd.in/eUhi76wy

🏊 How does swimming help you become a stronger Product Manager? 📖 How will AI impact the legal industry? 🌎 What are key considerations for building products for the South American and Asia markets? These are some of the questions we answer in the latest Tech2Table Talks podcast with Wilson Wei who has been a Product Leader at Veeva Systems and Litify. He has a wealth of experience building products within the legal and pharmaceutical & life sciences industries for enterprise. In our conversation, we deep dive into: 📌 What it really takes to scale B2B SaaS products internationally 📌 Why hands-on leadership and patience go hand-in-hand in product management 📌 The unique cultural factors to consider when building products for global users 📌 How AI is reshaping product management 📌 And so much more Here are 3 key takeaways: 1️⃣ The results of big events often come down to how well you’ve prepared beforehand. Doing the hard work beforehand can help ease the nerves and improve performance when it really matters. It also builds confidence, letting you concentrate on what you need to do rather than worrying about the outcome. This mindset applies to many areas of life, whether it’s competing in sports or leading a product review. 2️⃣ Enjoy the process of reaching your goals instead of just focusing on the end result. Many successful entrepreneurs emphasize that the grind, the late nights, and the challenges are all part of the journey. Appreciating these experiences not only makes the journey more enjoyable but also contributes to personal growth and resilience. Remember, the path you take often teaches you valuable lessons that will help you in the long run. 3️⃣ Scaling internationally brings its own set of challenges, particularly when it comes to understanding different cultures. Each market has its own unique consumer behaviors and cultural norms, and companies must adapt their products and strategies accordingly. Navigating diverse regulatory environments can also complicate things, as local laws vary significantly. 🎧 Watch and listen here: • Apple: https://lnkd.in/ed69a65W • Spotify: https://lnkd.in/e_apgU5M • YouTube: https://lnkd.in/emYrHDmA • Newsletter: https://lnkd.in/eUhi76wy
