This year, we saw incredible momentum from companies committed to supporting refugees through the Tent Partnership for Refugees. Among them is Indeed, which deepened its partnership with Tent by joining several new national coalitions. Eamonn Fitzgerald, Senior Manager of Refugee and Immigrant Integration at Indeed, shares how our expanded collaboration is unlocking new opportunities for refugees to succeed in the workforce. 🌍 🤝

As 2024 comes to a close, we’re celebrating companies that deepened their collaboration with the Tent Partnership for Refugees this year, including by joining multiple new national coalitions. One such standout is Adecco, a long-time Tent member. Bruce Roch, Head of Inclusion at Adecco, explains why they have expanded their work with Tent and are continuing to strengthen their efforts to integrate refugees.

As we reflect on the past year at the Tent Partnership for Refugees, we're proud of the progress we made in launching five new national coalitions across the Americas and Europe – each a significant step forward in activating dozens more major companies to connect even more refugees to jobs. We caught up with our country directors – Amaia Elizalde Belascoain, Yasmine Leroux, Gerardo Ancira, Jen Stobart, and Christian SCHMIDT – who are leading these new coalitions for their insights on how businesses are stepping up to make a lasting difference for refugees in their respective markets.

We are thrilled to announce that Tent Deutschland has formalized a strategic partnership with Jobcenter Munich – a joint institution of the Federal Employment Agency and the City of Munich – to accelerate access to employment for refugees, which aims to: 🤝 combine resources to better support refugees during the job search process 💡exchange ideas and best practices to address common challenges preventing refugees from securing jobs 🇩🇪 connect refugee candidates in Jobcenter Munich’s network with Tent Deutschland member companies with open roles, to help advance their refugee hiring efforts We’re starting off strong by jointly hosting the #CareerDayMunich job fair for refugees alongside the Munich Employment Agency today at the Munich Marriott Hotel! Last week, Tent France Director Yasmine Leroux spoke at the  Fondation BNP Paribas’s annual conference on refugees in Paris, which focused this year on why learning the local language is so pivotal for refugees as they integrate into their new country – and what more can be done to help refugees learn French. 🇫🇷 Yasmine shared her perspective through the experiences of Tent Partnership for Refugees member companies in France as well as internationally, which have consistently shown how employment can be such a powerful driver of language learning – as refugees are able to rapidly improve their language skills on the job, all the while the companies that have hired them benefit from a more diverse and inclusive workforce and company culture.
