The introduction section is the topmost section of your profile, and it’s the first thing members see when they visit your profile. Use this section to introduce yourself, and to highlight things you want people to know at a glance. You can edit any fields displayed in the introduction section on your profile.
To edit your introduction section from your desktop:

Click the
Me icon at top of your LinkedIn homepage. -
Click View Profile.

Click the
Edit icon in your introduction section. -
Make changes to the information displayed in any of the following fields:
- Name
- Profile photo
- Background photo
- Headline
- Current position
- Education
- Location
- Industry
- Contact info
- Open to finding a new job, hiring, and providing services

Click Save.
To edit your introduction section:

Tap your profile picture then View profile.

Tap the
Edit icon in your introduction section. -
Make changes to the information displayed in any of the following fields:
- Name
- Profile photo
- Headline
- Current position
- Education
- Location
- Industry
- Open to finding a new job, hiring, and providing services

Tap Save
To edit your introduction section:

Tap the
Profile icon. -
Tap the
Edit icon in your introduction section. -
Make changes to the information displayed in any of the following fields:
- Name
- Headline
- Current position
- Industry
- Education
- Country/Region
- Summary

Tap Save in the upper right corner.
Note: Your network won’t be notified when you make changes to the introduction section on your profile. However, you can control whether your network is notified about other profile changes, as well as manage your profile privacy from the Settings & Privacy page.
