GoCentral is GoDaddy's new integrated DIY site builder with integrated online commerce and digital marketing capabilities built in. It lets people build a site in under an hour and it's easier to use than drag-and-drop focused competitors— we’ve adopted a very different model.

2) fully integrated web, online store, and marketing services that guides our users beyond publishing their site. Going beyond just creating a site but helping customers get traffic.

We started to build what became the new GoDaddy Online Store (OLS) by mid 2013, we looked at several options in how to build a product that is focused on small businesses that would be easy to use and still powerful and scalable.

We decided to build the GoDaddy Online Store on top of a Ruby on Rails Open Source Project named Spree, this became the core of our product, we added the changes needed to make it easy to use and to make it multi-tenant and able to scale to hundreds of thousands… Show more

We started to build what became the new GoDaddy Online Store (OLS) by mid 2013, we looked at several options in how to build a product that is focused on small businesses that would be easy to use and still powerful and scalable.

We decided to build the GoDaddy Online Store on top of a Ruby on Rails Open Source Project named Spree, this became the core of our product, we added the changes needed to make it easy to use and to make it multi-tenant and able to scale to hundreds of thousands of storefronts. This also allowed GoDaddy to become more active on the Open Source community. Today we have tens of thousands of stores running on the new Spree based foundation and we keep on adding new features continuously. Show less

At GoDaddy we host millions of websites, the management of such a large infrastructure gets very complicated as we keep on adding new customers.

To better serve our customer's websites, we built a brand new Page Serving Platform on top of Node.js, Cassandra and Redis to replace our traditional hosting. This platform allowed us to reduce our server infrastructure by 10x and improve our performance by 4x.
