Our dharma refers to our life's purpose, true calling or nature. Everyone's passion is our dharma. Once you discover your dharma, strive to play that role in every aspect of your life. If my dharma is to be a leader, I'm probably the one who should be planning everything in my family. I will feel meaning in that role, but if I'm not playing that role, then I will feel insignificant and frustrated. The quote used the metaphor of a fish out of water to illustrate that if we aren't living according to our true nature and purpose (dharma), we cannot thrive, no matter how much material wealth or "riches" we acquire. Just like a fish needs water to survive, we need to align our lives with our dharma to feel fulfilled. Our dharma is our unique passion and calling. When we discover it and embody that role consistently across all areas of life, we feel a sense of meaning and significance. But if we neglect our dharma, we feel restless, insignificant and frustrated, just like the fish out of water. Identifying and living our dharma is key to a life of deeper contentment and alignment.

The tall poppy syndrome will begin to show up everywhere. In India, we have economy propped up by mostly government spending. Then the GCC brigade has the highest levels of disposable income of any professional sector. And this sector is tied to the global economy which is pretty much the American economy. And the only sector that can fuel Government spending are folks whose paycheck can be taxed at source, which is the salaried class. You can see how critical this sector is because there is additional tax for the top bracket in this category. Almost a disincentive to have a high salary bracket. Coupled with freebies culture and a huge swathe of population that is unorganised, we have a very huge deficit that needs to be managed by the middle class.

I once gave interview to #intuit where they gave me a take home assignment and that assignment will be discussed in detail that round. Usually 2-3 interviewers will join whose experience in #intuit itself is between 8-12 years. After recent #layoffs I was speaking to a person who recently joined #intuit. He mentioned, from the outside, the company looks fantastic but inside because of people who have stayed in the same company for so long, it's one of the companies with the highest internal politics. I'm not justifying the #layoffs, with my experience of giving #intuit interview and discussing with others on the assignment round, usually they don't select you, if you give a counter opinion of interviewers. In the end, the issue here is abuse of low cost labor (not skilled + low cost — just low cost). I’ve worked with plenty of companies who have made this mistake and suffer for it (Nissan is a BIG one). This isn’t something anyone should be encouraging. It’s not about “competition”. This is a conversation on extortion.

The counseling report must be submitted to the court. Additionally, the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) has mandated that the minor study traffic rules and present them to the Board. He must also vow to assist accident victims in the future. We must question if this punishment is adequate for such a grave crime. The leniency shown raises concerns about our society's values and the effectiveness of our justice system. It feels as if we are living in the wrong times, with an approach reminiscent of a colonial mindset. RIP to the victims. This is a very thought provoking post on western world employment changes. Time will tell whether it is AI or corporate target to increase operational margin - what is driving the lay offs. Will India win big for this trend ? Time will tell. 💡

Layoffs and offer revocations are becoming increasingly common. I believe it's necessary for the government to intervene. There should be strict actions implemented: 1. Once a candidate has been offered a job, they should be onboarded for a minimum duration of at least one year. 2. If a company decides to revoke a job offer, there should be a payable amount to the candidate, as well as a fine to the government. 3. If a layoff is announced, it should affect less than 3% of the workforce. 4. If an employee is laid off, they should receive at least three months' salary, with a prior notice of three to four months. These measures are crucial to protect the rights and stability of both employees and the job market. what else could be done? I am writing this due to the anxiety that students have shared with me, and yes, their concern is valid. Once a student is placed, colleges generally do not offer them a second chance. In such scenarios, if their offers are revoked, it raises the question: what should be done?
