When Sarah Wirth Bill Eckstrom and Ecsell Institute released The Coaching Effect book a few years back there was a lot of anticipation about how it would be received. A few years later, it safe to say it exceeded expectations (huge shout out to former Ecsell marketing leader Anna Sloup) Below are the 3 key takeaways I've heard from readers and clients: 1) The Coaching Effect gave our team a coaching framework, language, and execution path for increased team performance. 2) Learning how to measure coaching effectiveness was key to our personal and company growth. We now have company specific coaching data that guides our unique development needs. 3) This book was profound in its simplicity. The article highlights several ideas, such as providing role models, especially in management, identifying nonstandard career paths, and involving neurodivergent employees in developing programs and initiatives tailored to them. The article also shares benefits of learning drives opportunity for grow, such as autistic employees develop into managers they tend to evaluate staff based heavily on performance and strongly use facts to influence their decisions.
