Faster-Than-Light Communication?!? Exploring Quantum Entanglement and Measurement Insights In a recent conversation with ChatGPT, we delved into the nuances of GHZ states and their implications for quantum measurements. Key points include:   In the so-called Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger (GHZ) state of quantum entanglement, THREE particles are mutually entangled to some extent. Any measurement taken on one particle collapses the state of entanglement, making the remaining particles unentangled. We utilize this in a thought experiment.   The first particle is with Alice on Earth, while the other two are with Bob on Mars. 1) Alice Measures: Bob finds unentangled particles, inferring Alice's measurement with high confidence. 2) Alice Does Not Measure: GHZ states remain entangled, and Bob observes partially entangled particles.   Key Considerations: Bob can make statistically reliable inferences about whether Alice has performed her measurements under these conditions: measurement precision, quantum decoherence protection, synchronization, and large datasets. In other words, Bob (on Mars) could almost instantaneously understand what Alice did (on Earth)! We continue to make scientific strides while the world continues to present that they have solutions - Now on @ResearchGate - This paper presents an advanced theoretical and practical framework for designing and optimizing a 1 MW cold fusion reactor with an emphasis on thermal management and energy conversion efficiency. The design integrates ThermAquaGel™, a cutting-edge thermal fluid with high specific heat capacity and phase-change material (PCM) properties, for both heat transfer and cooling. By utilizing nanostructured palladium (Pd-D) or nickel (Ni-D) lattices, the fusion reactor achieves sustained deuterium-deuterium fusion, with thermal energy converted to electrical power using a thermoelectric generator (TEG) system. Detailed thermal shielding mechanisms, including the use of 5 cm thick thermal insulation layers or ThermAquaGel™ jackets, are discussed to ensure optimal temperature gradients and minimal heat loss. #coldfusion #greenenergy #sustainability #opensource #humanity

A new study in Scientific Reports examined how the loss of local newspapers impacts online news consumption. Surprisingly, it found that residents of "news deserts" don't actually consume more misinformation. Instead, they turn to national news sources, which may not adequately fill the gap in local information. We've spoken for over a decade about the unpredictable risks which come with deploying AI into critical applications. Though this is very much a simple example, it is built on OpenAI tools - as state of the art as it gets! Is your organization using OpenAI or an equivalent GPT in critical applications without a parallel deterministic system to guarantee safety and reliability? For example...are you connecting it to a robot bigger than a Roomba? There are more and more well funded robotics companies out there who seem to be heavily relying on GPTs to succeed. I hope they take the risks seriously.
