Here's how you can seamlessly integrate new technologies into existing systems.
You need to find them. It's probably a Steve, or John, or Janine, or Nancy. Everyone calls them by their first name and they hold the keys to the six or seven systems that keep the place running. And the three or four that no one even knows exists. They go by different titles, Director of Information Systems, Senior Systems Architect, whatever, their title matters not, it's their knowledge that you need. They're understanding of the spaghetti-like solution architecture systems architecture that keeps your enterprise running. No large-scale enterprise tech integration will succeed without the express consent of your company's unknown powerbroker - the long-serving Systems Architect who keeps the lights on. Forget the CTO it's them you want.

Major Taylor Cycling Club of Chicago
Health
I manage the web, marketing and e-commerce communication for this historical nonprofit devoted to increasing the number of minorities who better their health through cycling. I have built two websites for them and in two years helped them to increase their membership by 350%. Using basic UX principles, clean and effective design, as well as concise content we've been able to grow MTC3's presence both on and off line.

When I first started learning web development three years ago I volunteered my web design skills to help the club which had an ineffective website and learn skills. It was a win-win. And now the club has a wonderful amazing web property that helps them fulfill their mission.

Real Talk is a fully immersive Virtually Reality game for immigrant children ages 9 to 12 that just also happens to be a language learning app. Real Talk allows children to practice speaking English in a safe space, a virtual world filled with characters, pets, great music, and simple challenges. Stake Your Claim

Stake Your Claim is a web-based application that helps urban community land trust sell investment property by using 3D/360-video visualizations to entice investors to invest in future projects.
This was my idea culled from a chance meeting with a urban community land trust organizer. I submitted the idea for a grant and won! I completed UX research on the project and am now in Phase Two: Design.
See how we conducted UX research and what we found.
