- I have a confession to make. My whole life, I've struggled with being a people pleaser. And no place was that more obvious than my former work environment. I wanted everyone on my team to like me. I hated the thought of letting anyone down, especially my boss. What if she got mad at me because I wasn't readily available? Or worse yet, what if I lost her approval?
