Better Angels is excited to be part of LA Tech Week with a panel about how technology plays a central role in solving LA's homelessness epidemic. The reason that this work matters so much is that slow, inefficient, lacking technology means that every aspect of the help, support, housing that outreach workers, case managers, shelter operators and non-profits do is more frustrating and less impactful than it could be. And, ultimately our neighbors are staying unhoused or in shelters for much longer than is possible. As we do so, software engineers lead our efforts in: Frontend Development: Enhance the user experience of our mobile app with React Native. Backend Development: Build and support API functionality using Django and GraphQL. Infrastructure: Help optimize our AWS environment with Terraform. Manual Testing: Conduct hands-on testing to catch issues and provide feedback on workflows, usability, and overall experience. Automated Testing: Develop automated test suites for component, unit, and end-to-end testing, ensuring ongoing quality and reliability. Our talented volunteers are currently working on core features across all these areas. In addition -- they’re tackling critical bug fixes, exploring developer productivity improvements, and engaging in data and software modeling exercises. They’re helping to refine every part of our app. Click here for more information about Better Angels' technology initiatives. https://lnkd.in/g7qV5r2s
Calling all Angeleno software engineers! You're invited to join a Better Angels conversation next Tuesday, during #LATechWeek.
