I LOVE that this is happening…..but I am disappointed that there is not one Obesity Medicine physician representing the patients we see in the office every single day…for over a decade. Not as a slave to big pharma but as a representative of what’s really happening in a “boots on the ground” way. I’ve been doing this for over a decade (well before GLP-1s) and the BIGGEST change I have seen (especially post COVID) was the FOOD. I hope more of these will include docs like myself….ones that are prescribing lifestyle changes and battling this every day.
Calley Means thank you for your great work on this critical issue, it really brings me hope. This is an amazing group of people who can certainly move the needle... but it is a real miss to not have somebody from Virta Health on this panel. Virta pioneered the concept of chronic disease reversal, and is a main reason that phrase can now be taken seriously. Sami Inkinen is one of the most compelling, data-driven, and articulate speakers I've known, I hope there is another seat at the table. Thanks again for your effort here, our kids will be better because of your passion.

Thank you, Calley & Casey & TrueMed - Hey/Love your book and commentary! This topic should be Front & Center on every major news channel. Instead, the silence is deafening & points to entrenched vested interests stonewalling and protecting lucrative turf (drugs/pills, & more pills rather than lifestyle intervention, prevention & monitoring). How can big Pharma & captured Fed agencies continue to justify disastrous protocols; what a terrible way to enrich oneself. MDs of our nation must live lives of intense suffering by adhering to such “Science” - never tackling the root causes. Casey - what a remarkable exception you & some of your colleagues are! More need to awaken to address our widespread health crisis: chronic illness, obesity, diabetes, auto-immune disease & general poor health - Certain unfairly maligned & courageous politicians DO speak out on these issues (as they do on the risk of starting WWIII); we observe concerted attacks on character flaws (e.g., investigating 20 year old non-violent “crimes”) as part of a deliberate plan to embarrass/silence them. Once again, thank you for bringing these vital issues affecting the health of so many Americans, and that of our children especially! Nothing is more important.
