NVIDIA tops the Axios Harris Poll 100, which ranks company reputations. FYI, this poll is done using this three-step process: 1. January 2024 Survey: 6,273 Americans identified the 100 most visible companies. 2. March 2024 Survey: 16,500 Americans rated these companies on nine reputation dimensions, creating a Reputational Quotient (RQ®) score. 3. May 2024 Surveys: Two waves of surveys provided additional context on brands and politics.

As someone who has been in the high-tech engineering field for over 4 decades, I have seen my fair share of technology convergence. However, I have never witnessed a convergence as dramatic as the one happening right now. This is the perfect storm for global change and we will look back at this moment as an inflection point. The race is on! As an Intel Senior Executive once said, "There are two types of high-tech companies, fast and dead." It's time to get to work, folks! #technology #globalchange #high-tech #inflectionpoint

In Chip War by Chris Miller, the significant influence of Andy Grove is clear. He built Intel into one of the most profitable companies, not just in tech but across industries. His impact still resonates today. The book emphasizes a cultural shift—from focusing on engineers to prioritizing accountants. In tech transfer, various stakeholders are involved, and products are never truly finished; they require ongoing development and engineering. Additionally, when a new industry emerges, like the PC market, collaborating with an established company can be an effective way to grow the technology—though this approach may not apply in all situations. #ChipWar #AndyGrove #Intel #TechTransfer #InnovationCulture #PCMarket #EngineeringFocus #ContinuousDevelopment #TechLeadership #ProductGrowth

When great companies go bad 💀 . Pat Gelsinger's ousting from Intel is the culmination of years of weak governance unchallenged by supine investors. Thanks to that, chipmaking has left the US and probably won't come back. This fascinating article goes deep under the hood. Props to Stratechery for the link. https://lnkd.in/eEkCwnxs

NVidia has become the most valuable public company so far. One of their secrets? Laser focus. NVidia not trying to be the best at everything. NVidia niche down. They're not trying to diversify and experimenting with too many business lines. They keep focusing on themselves to be better at what they're doing and not building new business lines. That strategic decision makes a huge impact on how they operate and innovate. Less is more is always true in anything, even business.
