Unpopular opinion: If people are so afraid of Google updates, there may be a problem in their SEO strategy and not in the Google algorithm. Embrace change and use it to your advantage.

I guess you are still not able to figure out what to do. Some kind of A/B testing all the time? I would say roll back to Aug 23 update and then work from there again.

Google Search hasn't decided if it wants to be Santa or Grinch this Christmas season. Why have another Core Update if there was one just few weeks ago?
