Simplicity can lead to clarity. This principle is quite evident in Kyoto’s Ryoanji Temple rock garden. With its 15 strategically placed stones, hidden so that not all can be viewed from a single point, the garden teaches a profound lesson in perspective and the importance of seeing the whole picture. It’s been my experience that the best approach to managing your investments is not always through complexity but through simplifying your strategy. By reducing noise and focusing on what truly adds value, we can achieve a clearer understanding of our financial landscapes. Adopting a simplified approach to your investment portfolio allows for better control, easier assessments, and more robust decision-making. This approach ensures that each addition to your portfolio serves a clear, beneficial purpose. Zen gardens achieve harmony through careful placement and restraint. Isn’t it time your financial plan achieved harmony, too? https://bit.ly/3A72

I'm delighted to share our latest research publication, conducted as part of Charles SEIFEDDINE's Thesis: "Thermal Behaviour of Pervious Concrete in Wet Conditions"! In this study, my colleagues and I investigated the thermal behavior of pervious concrete under varying moisture conditions, with some compelling results: - We analyzed the cooling effects of different pervious concrete mixes. Pozzolan-based pervious concrete demonstrated higher surface temperatures (up to 4°C) compared to gravel-based mixes in dry conditions. Moistening the samples led to notable cooling through evaporation. The cooling effect was influenced by factors such as porosity and water retention. This work enhances our understanding of how pervious concrete can contribute to mitigating urban heat islands, which is invaluable for designing more sustainable and climate-resilient urban infrastructure. Special thanks to Charles SEIFEDDINE, the incredibly talented and powerful student behind this work! Proud to have co-authored this with Evelyne Toussaint. https://lnkd.in/e92kDfTC
