As technology partner to leading academic publisher Oxford University Press, Cognizant recently delivered a global IT estate modernisation that mitigates risk and drives efficiency.    When OUP introduced a new global function to oversee its IT estate, the team discovered that much of the infrastructure was end-of-life, expensive and open to business continuity risks.    Among other projects Cognizant modernised and migrated OUP’s data centers to new facilities that can securely host critical on-premises services, rolled out a device refresh allowing OUP employees to transition to a hybrid working model, and designed and built software to manage IT spend which paid for itself in six months.    The impact:  • Increased resilience: 75% reduction of end-of-life equipment  • Cost savings: 70% of on-remises IT decommissioned and migrated  • Improved agility, scale & performance: 66% of workloads moved to cloud    "Cognizant provided us with subject matter expertise to ensure we implemented the best approaches and technologies.
