🤝🌍 Bangladesh and Egypt are set to strengthen their bilateral ties through regular foreign office consultations, enhanced trade, mutual visa exemptions, and support for Bangladesh's mission in Egypt. I had the opportunity to learn about this project supported by international cooperation at the #SIECA in Guatemala and the importance of this facility for regional trade in Central America continues to be in force and developing.

Digital Trade: The African perspective This Trade Brief focuses on digital trade with special emphasis on the most important issues from the perspective of Africa, including the issues of data governance, digital inclusion, and the African Continental Free Trade Area (#AfCFTA), more specifically the recently released Digital Trade Protocol. The Protocol’s value lies in the fact that it has been developed by Africans for African countries, while maintaining close (but not perfect) alignment with international norms and standards for digital governance. It should serve as a guiding framework for AfCFTA member states as they simultaneously liberalise their intra-African goods and services markets as well as ensure their markets are suitable for digital businesses to operate and thrive in.
