The intention is good, but there may be unintended consequences such as additional work for administrators. And there are so many other questions such as: - When should charities issue tax receipts? - Is the tax deadline still April 30th? - For charities with Dec 31st year-end, when are the books closed? - As a donor, will my 2025 donations comprise of only 10 months (Mar - Dec)? Or do I have a choice to include Jan-Feb 2025 as 2025 donations?
