Our TEDx Palo Alto event is only a week away! I'm excited to talk about how we're turning seemingly lofty human-robot interaction design ideas into concrete robot design decisions at Robust.AI. When we design and deploy robots thoughtfully, they can address real human needs, respect our social norms, and make us superhuman. Robots can be both autonomous *and* collaborative. The last time I attempted to deliver this talk, I was hit by laryngitis on the day of our final rehearsals. This time, I'm determined to stay healthy. I'm looking forward to joining this great lineup of speakers, including: - Sophia Velastegui, Fortune 100 executive, former Microsoft Chief AI officer, and National Science Foundation (NSF) AI Advisor - Saman Farid, founder and CEO of Formic, as well as Baidu Venture Partner - Jonathan Berent, founder and CEO of Nextsense and subject matter expert in biosensing and sleep research - William (Bill) Welser IV, founder, CEO, and CTO of Lotic.ai, Inc. and former Director at RAND Corporation - and our host, Ben Russo, founder of TurboCulture, who is a fellow University of California, Santa Cruz banana slug! Interested in checking out our live performance on October 13 at the The Guild Theater? https://lnkd.in/gRFT5Quz
