Yes--please apply to come work with us! It is so rewarding! Here's what I love about being an on-site EAP counselor for Froedtert employees: - Access to mental health care is vital. And often access is most difficult for the most stressed and vulnerable populations. Froedtert's workforce is so large and diverse. I love being on-site so that I can give employees free and quick access to mental health care, especially for those who might not be able to access it otherwise. - Supporting other caregivers. Healthcare workers are such an inspiring population to serve. COVID reminded us how much we need our amazing healthcare workers. They have skills not everyone has and that we so desperately need. And they are the most passionate and hard-working individuals--so committed to providing high-quality care for their patients. However, the risk of burnout is ever-present, and we need systemic changes to care for our caregivers. It is a privilege being part of a team and a healthcare system that is willing to prioritize making those changes.- Having more freedom to be creative and provide support in a variety of ways that would not be possible if we had to rely on insurance to provide coverage.

Sometimes the right people just don’t know each other yet, and that feels like an opportunity to do some good. It’s no secret that we’re in a season of transition in Washington, DC, and across the country.
