I lean toward servant leadership because it emphasizes empathy, team development, and collaboration. In the increasingly disruptive industry of supply chains, it's crucial to cultivate a leadership style that encourages a positive company culture, employee well-being, and innovation. When we center compassion in our leadership, we make it easier to ensure that everyone at an organization has a voice. As industries continue to face disruption and uncertainty, clear and effective communication may be the only thing keeping companies from crumbling under pressure. #ServantLeadership #Leadership #Collaboration #SupplyChains

This approach builds a healthy workplace culture through collaboration, trust and empowerment." #ServantLeadership #Leadership #PeopleFirst #TakeCareOfYourPeople

No matter where you work, one thing is always true: passionate and cared-for teams perform better. It’s why servant leadership is still such a powerful concept, and why so many leaders are evolving their strategies to embrace the “soft skills” they might have ignored in the past. As leaders, we can always choose to center our priorities around our people, not the numbers — and benefits usually follow. Leaders don’t always need to have the right words, either. Knowing when to step back and listen, whether it’s hearing feedback and concerns or allowing employees to embrace opportunities for growth, is one of our most powerful tools, and an encouraging idea I find in servant leadership principles. It’s a reminder to keep our teams’ wellbeing in mind as we help them navigate changing industries, and encouragement to stay humble in our own journey. I believe the best leaders operate in servant leadership. The term “servant leadership” was coined in 1970 by Robert K. Greenleaf (Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership), but the concept has been around for much longer. A servant leader ensures that others' highest priority needs are being addressed and turns the traditional org chart hierarchy on its head...servant leaders are at the bottom, and the employees (who they serve) are above. Do you consider yourself a servant leader? If you are not sure, ask yourself: ✅ Am I offering mentorship and growth opportunities to those looking for career progression within the company? ✅ Am I listening to the stated needs of employees and taking action? ✅ Am I checking in with my team consistently to ensure they feel supported in and out of the office? ✅ Do I foster a spirit of open and honest dialogue so employees can come to me with issues/concerns? ✅ Do I lead by example? How have you been impacted by a servant leader in your career? https://lnkd.in/eHRuVUqA #ServantLeadership #Leadership #HumanServices #BehavioralHealth #Autism #IDD #Greenleaf #CoreValues #Culture #VirtueHealthcareConsulting
