When we founded Latina Leads, they told us we were crazy. Crazy for believing we could change the statistics. Crazy for thinking that 12 workshops could transform Latina girls into leaders. Crazy for imagining that a community could empower 500 families in our first two years. They said it was madness to aim for sponsoring 50 girls in a single GivingTuesday. But here we are, doing it. Because it’s the “crazy” ideas that change the world. 📊 Over 500 girls have participated in our programs. Girls who now believe in their potential, have found their voice, and are leading in their communities. 🌟 85% of our participants report an increase in self-esteem after just one workshop. 🌟 More than 90% say they now feel capable of achieving their goals. That’s what happens when you don’t listen to those who call you crazy. Now, we need your support to keep this “madness” alive. For the last 3 years, I have been humbled to be the MC for the Together For Better Foundation dinner gala, which happens yearly on International Women’s day. What they do is simple: they help girls fight period poverty with reusable cotton pads.
