This is my collection for Bright Moments Paris event on Feb 21-24. 100 individual generative pieces highlighting the connection between the avant-garde movements of the 1920s and today’s groundbreaking generative technologies. A century apart, these eras share a common thread: evolving the concept of art. My collection, ‘Binary Bricolage,’ creates a dialogue between these topics. It features a series of composite portraits, characters that never existed, arranged on a grid inspired by the layout of Parisian arrondissements. This fusion of geography and surrealism aims at challenging conventional notions of identity, echoing a Dadaist approach. In a nod to the unpredictable nature of generative art, the words ‘bright moments’ are reimagined, its letters shuffled to produce an array of random arrangements. The evolution of the series is further encapsulated by translating its numerical progression into binary code, highlighting the mechanical nature of the collection. ‘Binary Bricolage’ drop in February at a Paris event. Every project, whatever it may look like in the artistic/plastic/creative field, is conditioned by the mind that observes. If we look at what we consider today as graphic representations of prehistory, we jump to the interiors of the decorated houses of ancient Greece, to the exchange portraits of the so-called modern age of the West (or the old continent). Let's think about it, each era reinterprets, revises, rethinks and rereads the representations that humanity has been preserving. We pay homage to all the representations, objects, pieces of ephemeral art that have been lost either for lack of testimony or because they have been silenced by historical accidents. If we broaden our vision in the light of the led proposals, we enter an ark, which, like Pandora's, can unleash interpretations with more or less success, but which in any case, in addition to providing us with an experience, allows us to look at something equally valid, the Lab's work teams. Birthing Kosmos: Synthetic Art and the Trans-integral perspective (#SyntheticArt) Beyond traditional boundaries lies Synthetic Art, a trans-integral artistic methodology. We call this approach Transdisciplinary Art Research and Production (TARP) projects, which are actionable. TARP fosters artistic exploration that transcends disciplines, fostering a deeper participatory understanding of ourselves and the world around us. In this view, art is not just an object, but a tool. Through "Artistic Interference," we see the world enhanced by art, actively expanding our perception and participation with reality. "Autopoietic Cartographies" come into play. We move beyond linear time and static spaces, engaging with the world as a complex, self-generating system. These are self-constructed maps that emerge from our interactions within this dynamic system. This unfolds within "Participative Focus Environments" (PFEs). Here, collaboration and interaction are central. Through dialogue and shared experiences, a deeper connection and understanding emerge. Ultimately, Synthetic Art starts by cultivating an "Integrative Life Practice" (ILP) but go beyond to a Synthetic understanding/constructing the Kosmos. The artistic experience transcends the studio and becomes a way of being. What happens when a scientist and an artist team up? 🔗 You can read the full blog here: https://lnkd.in/eMiAbuai The TL;DR is: 🏫 In 2022, I engaged in an initiative at the University of Hertfordshire called Art:Sci Lab which aimed to foster art-science collaboration. 🎨 I teamed up with artist Sebastian Utzni to blend our disciplines into an exhibition piece. 📧 Through email exchanges, we explored the intersection of art and science and later turned this into a physical piece of art carved in stone. ✨ Key insights: philosophical language aids understanding, embracing uncertainty boosts creativity, and artistic methods enhance research. 🌱 Art and science are not mutually exclusive; they can enrich each other.
