Traditional Market Research is Failing Companies 📉 Traditional surveys, interviews, and focus groups are inherently flawed. Here's why: 1. Social Desirability Bias: People often provide answers they think are socially acceptable, rather than their true feelings. (Fisher, 1993) 2. Introspection Illusion: People often incorrectly believe they understand the reasons behind their behaviors and preferences, leading to rationalizations rather than true explanations. (Wilson, 1977) 3. Projection Bias: People tend to project their current preferences and states onto their future selves, incorrectly assuming they will feel the same way in the future as they do now.
