Google is integrating AI into Android with the Gemini app and on-device AI. Gemini Nano, a powerful new 3.8 billion parameter model, is designed to run on-device, processing not only text input but also audio and images. Launching later this year "starting with Pixel," it will offer: • Enhanced descriptions with TalkBack: TalkBack will soon automatically generate more detailed and useful image descriptions, benefiting visually impaired users, especially when images lack alt text. • Scam detection: This innovative feature analyzes voice calls to identify and warn you about potential scams. It detects conversation patterns typical of scams, such as when a "bank representative" urgently requests a fund transfer. If detected, your phone will buzz and display a warning.
