You go farther when you go together. You also go farther when you keep learning. Looking forward to solid business and craft insights from these three keynote speakers.
Writer friends, the American Society of Journalists and Authors, Inc. (ASJA) just announced the keynote speakers for annual conference Sept. 24-26. They are: Krishan Trotman, founder and publisher of Hachette Books' Legacy Lit imprint, which publishes books for and about multicultural voices and social justice Peter Shankman, making a return appearance to talk about Source of Sources (SOS), the new journalist source finder he launched to replace HARO, his original media matchmaker. David W. Brown, Temple U. professor, award-winning speaker, author, long-time media and PR industry figure, part-time pastor, and the man the Obama administration called a "champion of change." This year's conference is online and will be recorded. Scholarships for writers and students from historically underrepresented populations are available. You don't need to be a member to attend but member rates are cheaper, and there's still time to apply. Registration opens next week.
