Exciting news! The first Regional Scrum Gathering (RSG) of 2025 will be held in Tokyo from January 7-10. This four-day event promises an action-packed schedule filled with valuable learning sessions and plenty of opportunities for attendees to exchange ideas. https://lnkd.in/g53a3fSz What sets this gathering apart is the focus on not just lectures, but also spontaneous interactions between participants. Everyone—whether you're a speaker, attendee, sponsor, or volunteer—will be encouraged to actively engage and contribute to a dynamic learning environment. There will also be numerous networking opportunities throughout the conference! Last year's RSG Tokyo drew nearly 800 attendees, and we're hoping to see even more this year. Don’t miss out! https://lnkd.in/g53a3fSz Thank you to the organizer, Miho Nagase.

Update: The upcoming LeSS SG Meetup on 31 July is postponed to a later date as Salman is going on a business trip. We'll update you on the rescheduled event soon. Apologies for any inconvenience. ===== Dear LeSs Singapore Community, We are excited to announce a new initiative to enhance our collective understanding and application of Large-Scale Scrum (LeSS). This is an opportunity for us to experiment, learn, and grow together through a structured, continuous learning journey. Here's what you can expect: 1. Experiment with Continuous Learning: We are embarking on a continuous learning journey to help everyone deepen their understanding of LeSS. This will include regular meetups and workshops. You are welcome to suggest topics that you feel is relevant to your learning. 2. Practice Systems Thinking: Engage in practical exercises and discussions on systems thinking applied to a variety of topics and scenarios. This will help us develop a holistic view and improve our problem-understanding skills. 3. Deepen Understanding of LeSS Principles: Through these sessions, we will explore and internalise the core principles of LeSS, ensuring that we can effectively apply them in our work. 4. Real-World Case Studies: Learn from real-world adoptions (and failures) of LeSS. We will analyse topics to identify best approaches, challenges, and solutions. 5. Collaborative Learning: Connect with like-minded people, share experiences, and collaborate through learning. This is a great opportunity to learn from others in the community. Our next meetup will focus on the principle of Whole Product Focus, where Stanly Lau and Salman Mohd Sultan will discuss its importance, adoption strategies, and real-world examples. We'll also have an interactive group activity to reinforce our learning. Venue kindly hosted by DKATALIS. Register in Telegram link in comments. #less #lessworks Odd-e The LeSS Company

With our first full year with the Agile for Good initiative where we volunteer our agile/managerial skills to world-improving organizations, it feels great to reflect on some results we've had. In total we have met 12 organizations including Giving Green, Charity Entrepreneurship/AIM and European Network for AI Safety at our meetings and have provided input on some of their challenges. In most cases, we have also been able to offer and provide more indepth help to these after the meeting, including in the form of coaching or practical work with 🔸 prioritization of projects and initiatives 🔸 compensation package work for employees 🔸 structures for short sprint goals 🔸 donor journey mapping 🔸 organizational governance 🔸 narrowing down key metrics and advice on data collection automation A huge thank you 🙏🙏🙏 from me and my co-organizer Pia Fåk Sunnanbo to those of you who have implemented or offered this: Mats Kempe, Laia Kjellander, Mattias Wahlberg, Mark Russell, Moneer Moukaddem, Shayne Vacher-Moffeit, Frédéric Roustan, Stefan Solender, Daniel Constanda and Sophia Ashley! A big thank you also to all of you who have been involved and provided input on the challenges of various organizations directly during our meetings. It has been much appreciated! Together we have made the world a better place! 🎇 Oh and if you feel that the trajectory of the world looks a bit gloomy, I can tell you that it is easier than you think to be part of improving it. In addition, you can help those projects that not only have a certain positive effect but have among the largest that the evidence has shown so far. Inbox me if it's time to help! …or why not join our meetup group right away? We'll have our first two organization-help sessions online of next year on January 17th 12-13 CET (with Virus- och pandemifonden) and February 4th 18-19 CET (with Effective Environmentalism) By joining the group you will get the info when the events are published when 2025 starts: https://lnkd.in/dKT_bMEr

Its #Day3of20! A little over a week ago, we wrapped up an amazing 2-day session with Anja Stiedl ⭐ CST CEC CTC, and it was an eye-opener! 🌟 Finally got a deep dive into the 5 crucial Scrum events and their significance. Here's a quick rundown: ⏱️ The Sprint: The sprint event is a time-boxed period during which the development team works to accomplish the goals of the sprint, including planning, daily stand-ups, development, review, and retrospective meetings. The aim? Nailing down objectives within a set timeframe. 💡 Sprint Planning: A collaborative session where the Scrum team maps out the tasks for the upcoming sprint. It's all about defining goals and laying out the roadmap for success. 🗓️ Daily Scrum: The heartbeat of the sprint! 🔄 A quick, 15-minute huddle where everyone syncs up, discusses progress, and troubleshoots any roadblocks. Consistency is key, with meetings held at the same place, same time, every day. 🔍 Sprint Review: Showtime! 🎬 A chance to showcase the sprint's accomplishments and gather valuable feedback from stakeholders. It's like a mini premiere, where the right audience makes all the difference. 🔍 Sprint Retrospective: Time to rewind and reflect! 🔄 This meeting, held at the sprint's end, is all about introspection. We dive into what worked, what didn't, and brainstorm ways to level up for the next sprint. It's like hitting the refresh button for better teamwork and efficiency. Every sprint is a journey, and these events are the checkpoints along the way. Here's to continuous improvement and smashing those goals! 🌟 Africa Agility Foundation #20DaysinSMWithAA #GIT20DayChallenge #GITbootcamp #GirlsinTech #AfricaAgility #AfricanGrirlsinTechBootcamp #GITBootcampCohort7

I've been advised for a long time to attend various professional events, to show up, or even to present some material. Coming up with what to talk about is the hardest part. Either it ends up being a repetition of what has already been said a million times before, or it involves sharing some relevant experience. But even in this case, it likely won't be unique, and others have probably encountered the same thing many times before. So far, I haven't found an answer to this question for myself. On the other hand, everything should be approached gradually. There's no point in stepping into the ring against an Olympic champion if you only have a year of training under your belt. Accordingly, this should be approached gradually as well. Recently, I took another small step by attending Kanban Meetup #4 organized by Neogenda. Below, I'll share my impressions. Of course, it's great that such events are being held. It's been a year since last year's TeamLead Conf when I participated in anything like this. This event was much smaller in comparison, but as the saying goes, something is better than nothing. From the talks and the small group work, I reaffirmed the thought that the first and foremost thing is to understand the goal you are striving for. Understand what you want. Then understand how to measure what you want, and only then think about which method to use to try to achieve the desired outcome. Additionally, I received an excellent checklist for transitioning from one state to another. It doesn't matter what the transition is from and to. It's quite universal. Also, I was reminded that it's worth rereading the Kanban Guide. Some details had faded from my memory. Thanks for the very clear reminder.
