Day2/20 As Product Manager there is need to understand the difference between customers and users. I have being using this words interchangably, but since I got the opportunity of being a participant in African Agility bootcamp, I have known the difference and would love to share it. A customer is someone that has the purchasing power 💪. He pays for the product or service. A customer might not directly engage with the product unless he is also a user. Customers are the key stakeholders. while A user is someone who directly uses the product, he has direct interaction with the product, therefore providing insight as to how people interact with the product or service. Product success is influenced by the users through their satisfaction. For instance, a parent buys books for a child, the parent is the customer while the child is a user.
