For consumers, the acquisition of UScellular by T-Mobile promises several benefits, including improved coverage, enhanced security measures against spam and fraud, better data management complying with industry regulations, and potentially more streamlined compliance standards. However, for businesses, especially those already struggling with mobile regulations such as approval processes and throttling, the integration of U.S. Cellular into T-Mobile's network could bring added complexities. While the immediate impact may not be as significant due to U.S. Cellular's relatively small portion of overall traffic for most businesses, navigating these regulatory intricacies could pose challenges in the long run. But businesses can benefit from the advantages of improved coverage, leading to higher SMS deliverability rates. Comment Your Thoughts!!!

Boost Mobile has taken steps toward becoming a standalone 5G network provider, aiming to hit FCC milestones by year’s end. 📡 New Milestone: Boost Mobile, traditionally an MVNO relying on other networks, now claims Mobile Network Operator (MNO) status, indicating it’s running its own network infrastructure. 🚀 5G Rollout Progress: Boost has activated over 20,000 of the 24,000 cell sites required by mid-2025, aiming to cover 80% of the U.S. population by the end of this year. 📱 User Migration: Since early 2024, Boost has migrated over half a million customers to its network, helping it reduce reliance on AT&T and T-Mobile. 🔍 Challenges Ahead: With only 7.28 million subscribers (compared to T-Mobile's 127 million), Boost still has a long way to go to expand its customer base and fully operate independently. #BoostMobile #5GNetwork #Telecom 🎯 FCC Deadlines: Boost’s transition was part of an FCC mandate following T-Mobile’s acquisition of Sprint, requiring Boost to establish its own network. 🛠 Technical Hurdles: Coverage doesn’t always translate to quality service, as Boost’s actual customer usage on its own network vs. roaming partners remains unclear. 📈 Competitive Market: To compete with giants like T-Mobile, Boost must continue building out its network and adding subscribers at scale. ♻️ Repost if you enjoyed this post and follow me, César Beltrán Miralles, for more curated content about telecom! https://lnkd.in/gUwRy5V4.theverge.com%2F2024%2F11%2F11%2F24291655%2Fboost-mobile-5g-dish-wireless&utm_campaign=aga&utm_source=agsadl1%2Csh%2Fx%2Fgs%2Fm2%2F4
