My comment: No one addresses the issues involved in separating and simulating a patch of reality. Everybody is stuck on simulating the entire universe. A patch of it drastically compresses the information needed for this alternative task. This is the only way that we'll create true portals, simulation or not. https://lnkd.in/eWMjTKPq
