What does recovery look like? It’s a call answered at someone’s lowest moment. It’s a group that offers connection instead of judgement. It’s a safe space where someone begins to heal. This is what your donation makes possible—but time is running out. With less than 24 hours left in the BigGive, every £1 becomes £2. Your £10 becomes £20, helping to keep our Recovery Centre open 365 days a year and funding the peer team who make these moments happen. No matter the size, your gift creates hope and a path to recovery. Donate now before midday tomorrow: https://lnkd.in/ew9adGTX #RecoveryCymru #PeerSupport #SupportingRecovery #BigGiveChallenge

If you're 70½ or older, here's a great tax-saving opportunity for 2024: Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). You can donate up to $105,000 directly from your IRA to a charity, and it won't count toward your taxable income. While you won't get a tax deduction for the donation, you can use it to satisfy all or part of your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) — a win-win for you and the charity! 💡 #QCD #TaxTips #CharitableGiving #FinancialPlanning #RMD

One way to honor Giving Tuesday is using a donor-advised fund (DAF) for charitable giving. Not only will you help inspire “radical generosity,” the goal of the celebration, but you can claim a tax deduction if you meet the donation deadline. Feel free to reach out to learn more! #charitablegiving #givingtuesday #wealthmanagement

In recent months, some young people who had signed up with me for a vidped failed to show up. No message before or after. I felt very frustrated by it. Part of the problem is that there is no fee to book a slot. But, I don't want any money from young people. So, here's my new condition: "To do a vidped with me, you have to donate (at least) Rs 50 to an NGO of your choice and tell me that you have done it. No receipt needed - just your word is OK. Or, if you don’t have the money, tell me that you cannot do it, and we will do the vidped without the donation. Please send this donation-confirmation message 1-2 days before your time slot. It will be a reconfirmation that you will be present for the meeting." Let's see if this reduces the no-shows. BTW, I have not had a single senior no-show - they always let me know if they cannot make it.

Current federal employees and retirees can now support SoldierStrong’s mission to donate revolutionary medical technologies to Veterans Affairs medical facilities by donating through the Combined Federal Campaign at GiveCFC.org using the following number: #59778 Here are the meaningful ways you can choose to support SoldierStrong through the CFC: 1. Donate to SoldierStrong through payroll deduction (CFC donors’ favorite giving option!). As a CFC vetted charity, you can pledge directly to our mission. Just $5 per paycheck to SoldierStrong makes a big difference. 2. Already donated? Consider increasing your recurring gift or adding a one-time gift. 3. Invite co-workers and federal retirees you know to continue supporting their favorite causes through the CFC.

You can donate appreciated assets, like stocks or real estate, which often provides larger tax benefits than cash donations. This method helps to avoid capital gains taxes while still supporting causes you care about. #GatewayFinancialPartners #BenchOfLife #CharitableGiving #Charity #FinancialPlanning #PersonalFinance
